The Tamil language is a valuable asset for everyone who speaks Tamil and it defines our unique cultural identity on the globe.

Maryland Tamil Academy (Volunteer-based, non-profit (501-(c)(3) Organization for Tamil Education) is dedicated to teaching the Tamil language to children in Maryland, USA.  Volunteer-run, the school is based in Maryland serving Montgomery and Frederick Counties.

The school’s primary activities revolve around our weekly classes, which are held on every Friday from 6:30-9 P.M (Virtual Sessions).

Academic Year 2022-23 Registration Updates:

We are working on the logistics to start our 2022-23 academic year registration. We are very hopeful to bring back in-person learning for the upcoming school year.

We are proud to see our students on Graduation day and to be a part of the grand show on the Annual Day. The contributions of our students, parents and volunteers made these events a wonderful celebration of our culture and values.

We want to express our sincere thanks to the volunteers from the Montgomery and Frederick branches of MTA who made significant contributions in organizing the events. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the following volunteer teams who put in a lot of time and effort during the last three weeks to make these events a grand success:

Event Planning, Manage SSL hours, Food and Snacks arrangement, Audio setup, Event reception, Photograph, Stage Decoration, Certificate preparation, Guest Coordination, Online update, Guest Gift coordination, MC, Trophy coordination, Stage event coordination, Communication, and Overall coordination.

Special thanks to parents for bringing the student’s grandparents to the events.
