Welcome to Academic Year 2020-2021

– As MCPS and FCPS School facilities are closed and the MCPS & FCPS school systems are going to teach online for the first semester), the MTA Board has decided to conduct classes for academic year 2020-21 completely online. The digital tools for online teaching are being finalized and will be announced prior to school re-opening.
– Tentative start date will be Friday, 18-Sep-2020. We are starting MTA a few weeks after MCPS/FPCS school systems start, in order to give the students (and parents) enough time to get used to the new routine at the MCPS & FCPS system.
– Classes will be held on Fridays between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM, in two sessions to accommodate teachers and volunteers. Class duration will be 90 minutes. Some classes will be held during the first session (6:00 PM to 7:30 PM), and some will be held during the second session (7:30 PM to 9:00 PM). This may vary based on the students strength per class/section. The final schedule will be released in the coming weeks.

To Do before school opening:
Some of the students were given journals to work-on during the summer holidays. Please make sure that your children complete their journal prior to school re-opening. This will be very helpful to refresh their knowledge.

MTA Board Needs Help:
As we move into online education mode, we need volunteers to coordinate with and assist the teachers, and the MTA board. As a non-profit organization, the MTA relies on your volunteer work a lot. So please step forward and let the board know if you can help us.
